Supernatural will get personal in season 10.

Sam & Dean Stories To Feature Equally In Supernatural' Season 10, Focus On Brothers' Relationship

Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) will have their typical monsters to slay and demons to chase, but season 10 will focus on the Winchesters personal arcs more than the year's big bad.

"[Supernatural will] be introducing, over the course of the season, characters that are very, very, very personal to our main characters," said executive producer Jeremy Carver, according to TV Line. "And that's all going to start to snowball into, 'You are who you are,' and having to deal with all this and drawing some lines. Of course, there'll be Bigger Bads that emerge, but the central focus of the season is really on these personal arcs."

Crowley Needs Castiel's Help On 'Supernatural', Demon Dean Out Of Control In 'Soul Survivor'

It's not as if the series will have a lack of personal issues to mine, what with Dean's time as a demon and the monstrous lengths Sam goes to in order to find and cure his older brother (see videos below).

While these issues will undoubtedly affect the boys throughout the season, it is unknown exactly which characters (both new and old) will help them along. On the side of the newcomers, viewers will meet Cole (Aaron Travis Wade), who is hell bent on killing Dean, while Sheriff Mills (Kim Rhodes), Charlie (Felica Day), and Claire Novak will return.
