Dr. Lecter's Past Only Partially Revealed On 'Hannibal'? Mads Mikkelsen & Bryan Fuller Explain

Instead of being gutted by his psychiatrist, actor Mads Mikkelsen believes Will (Hugh Dancy) would have been given a second chance.

"If he admitted it, in Hannibal's book you get one more chance. One more chance," Mikkelsen said at 2014's Monster Mania. "If he admits it, we'll take it from there. Like the naughty teenager, 'Did You Smoke? Alright, I'll let it pass.' It would have ended up differently, definitely."

Now the series is left picking up the pieces from Hanni's "Mizimono" blood bath. With Will, Alana (Caroline Dhavernas), Jack (Laurence Fishburne), and Abigail (Kacey Rohl) all injured or dead, the Hannibal will start season 3 one year later, with Dr. Lecter and Bedelia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson) safely tucked away in Italy.
