Fans of the axed crime drama stepped in to show their support through the #LongLiveLongmire hashtag on Twitter over a month ago. Now, they've designated individualized days to promote each character for the series. Saturday was declared "Ruby Day" after the character played by actress Louanne Stephens.
One fan posted a photo of Stephens and costar Lou Diamond Phillips (Henry), complimenting the on-set tone.

Phillips responded to post on Saturday explaining why the cast was all smiles day in and day out on the set.
It seems the cast treasured each and every moment on set, which is likely why they are so committed to keeping the spirit of the series alive online while producers look for a new network.
A&E opted to cancel the program after its third season in spite of it being the highest-rated scripted series on the network. It was the second-highest rated series overall behind Ducky Dynasty.
If Longmire does return for a fourth season on a new network, it will likely do so during the seconded half of 2015.
