After originating on The Vampire Diaries as the Mikaelson brothers tragic human love interest, the character will be debuting on The Originals this season via flashbacks to explain what really happened when Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) became vampires back in the time of the Vikings.
Nina Dobrev, who stars as Elena on The Vampire Diaries, will be reprising the role of Tatia during a guest appearance in Episode 5 of The Originals this fall.

"I feel like she's the purest of them all," Dobrev explained in Entertainment Weekly Friday, comparing Tatia to her "doppelgangers" Amara and Elena, "Because she doesn't have anyone that proceeded her that affects her life and that she has to live up to or whose history willy haunt her in the future.
"She has no preconceived notions," Dobrev continued. "She doesn't have all the vampire dramas before her existence, so she's just pure love and hope and innocence in a way… until things get complicated, as they always do."
Dobrev is a pretty big guest star for The Originals given how busy she is with production for her own series and fans of both shows should savor the appearance. According to producer Michael Narducci, The Originals won't be getting other crossover characters anytime soon.
"It doesn't feel like there's an easy way to make people drop what they're doing in Mystic Falls and come to New Orleans," declared the producer. He did note that they are "always looking" for potential crossovers, but it is not a main concern at this time.
"Klaus is going to have his hands full with the return [of his family] in his life," added Narducci, suggesting that there will be plenty of action in New Orleans to keep everyone busy.
The Originals return to The CW for a second season on a new night, Monday October 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
