Why Did Simmons Join HYDRA? Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen Explain

That is if Robert Downey Jr. has anything to say about it.

The Avengers star took part in a Reddit AMA on Tuesday to promote his upcoming film The Judge, and Downey's Marvel involvement quickly came into the conversation. When asked which TV show he would like the guest star on, the actor quickly and simply answered with Agents of SHIELD.

'Avengers 3' To Feature Mockingbird? Adrianne Palicki Hints At Future Of 'Agents Of SHIELD' Character

Downey's comment did not go unnoticed by AOS star Chloe Bennet (Skye).

"Please please please tell me this is real life," Bennet tweeted on Tuesday afternoon.

Despite Downey's high cost, it jump to Marvel's TV series isn't an entirely implausible move for Toney Stark. Agents of SHIELD is thoroughly incorporated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Iron Man wouldn't be the first character to cross between the big and small screens. Outside of Coulson (Clark Gregg), the series incorporated Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) into season 1 while the Jed Whedon/Maurissa Tancharoen program recently loaned Agent Triplett (BJ Britt) to Joss Whedon's The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Hopefully the powers that be will take Downey's desires under consideration as season 2 moves forward.
