A video capturing what goes on during the table read through for an episode, featuring most of the cast, of Criminal Minds was recently revealed.

During the read-through most of the cast members like Joe Mantegna, Thomas Gibson, Kirsten Vangsness, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Shemar Moore are seen casually feeling out their lines. The clip is interspersed with bits by the actors describing their personal processes of rehearsing and how the table read helps them.

For instance, Vangsness, who plays Penelope Garcia on the show jokes about how she doesn't subscribe to the way fans imagine actors practicing their lines --- at home with a glass of wine and a monocled eye going through the pages of the script. She goes on to state the the read-through is a great way to workshop the material too, and the writers take not of what's not working and redact the script.

"We are not meant to perform it, but we as actors give it enough life so we can feel it as actors but also writers can hear their words, see if there are any last minute tweaks they want to do," says Moore, who plays Derek Morgan on the show.

In the clip, Morgan compliments the writing staff in the video stating that he is always "impressed and pleased" by the quality of their work.

Season 10 premiered on CBS on October 1.

Episode 2, entitled Burn, will air on October 8 at 9/8 c.
