Stephen Collins' footage was dropped from an upcoming episode of 'Scandal' now that his own legal nightmare has hit the news.

The former 7th Heaven actor star is under investigations for child molestation after TMZ released an audio recording of a therapy session with his wife, Faye Grant. While the New York City Police Department pursues the allegations, Collins will not appear in the ABC drama.

"We can confirm that we will not be airing any footage with Stephen Collins," the network told ABC, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Collins had a one-episode arc as reporter Reed Wallace in season 2's "Happy Birthday, Mr. President," and the actor returned to set for season 4 filming in September.

"Happy to say I did another episode of #Scandal," Collins tweeted. "Had a gr8 time. Wish I could say more but @ShondaRhimes would have to kill me."

Scandal isn't the only series to distance itself from the actor. Entertainment Weekly reports that Ted 2 also dropped Collins from the cast.
