Water Polo Wardrobe Malfunction; Team USA Draws With Spain 9-9 in Women's Water Polo [Photos]
The Olympic Games in London continue in full scale, with the Women's Water Polo taking place on Wednesday. However, it is not the results that drew the attention on TV today but it was a wardrobe malfunction which was broadcast live by NBC.
The brief scene, which was not censored, featured an American water polo player grabbing an opponent's bathing suit, thus giving a flash of her nipple to the worldwide audience.
Although it happened really quickly, the Spanish opponent's wardrobe malfunction was caught on camera and got Twitter buzzing about it soon afterwards. Many of those who witnessed the malfunction live tweeted that they "saw a nipple", along with one user tweeting: ""I didn't know water polo was so erotic."
The U.S. Women's Water Polo team drew 9-9 with Spain. "That game was definitely a battle," said Kami Craig, according to Mercury News. Craig led the U.S. team with four goals. "A lot of ups and downs in there but we'll take a tie and move on."
U.S. was leading the game with 3 goals but Spain made a furious comeback with less than three minutes to go.
"It's hard to hold Spain down for so long," U.S. coach Adam Krikorian said. "We played great defensively in the second half, besides the last two minutes. We needed to get a five-on-six stop there at the end and we couldn't do it."
