Producers have been working for over a month now to find the program a place on a new network, bringing to the series to Amazon, Netflix, and others. Now, it looks like all that hard work and waiting might just be paying off.

Lou Diamond Phillips, known for playing Henry on the show, posted a message to fans on Saturday night that could be a clue as to what the future holds for the limbo-lying Longmire.

The cast of the axed drama has been pretty invested in keeping the spirit of the series alive online through promotion as well as fan involvement. They've urged fans to practice "patience" in waiting for the show to come back, and with Phillips' latest message it looks like the show just might.

During its run on A&E, Longmire was the network's highest-rated scripted series and the second-highest rated total behind the reality program Duck Dynasty. The decision to axe Longmire was supposedly because advertisers wanted to skew for a younger market and claimed the series' main audience was a bit older than what they were looking for.

If Longmire does find a new network, it will likely return for a fourth season during the later half of 2015.
