'Switched At Birth' Season 4: Actress Says Storylines Will Likely Be 'Juicy & Fantastic,' & Reveals When The New Year Might Premiere [VIDEO]
Switched at Birth is about to return with new episodes where it sounds like there will be a lot to look forward to, according to one of the actors.
Will Lea Thompson's Appearance On 'Dancing With The Stars' Interfere With 'Switched At Birth?'
Lea Thompson, who plays Kathryn on the series, spoke with Smashing Interviews Magazine in a story posted on Monday where she revealed that a fourth season will be happening. She also mentioned that she will direct an episode and even though she's not sure what details will be taking place, something exciting will likely come along.
"We're about to start Switched at Birth season four. I guess it will go on in the spring or maybe January or February," Thompson revealed. "I'm going to get to direct my third episode around Christmas, which I'm really excited about. I don't really know the storylines yet, but I'm sure they will be juicy and fantastic because we left with a really great cliffhanger."

The actress also talked about the Christmas special of Switched at Birth that will air before the fourth season, something that will hopefully be satisfying for the fans.
"We did a beautiful little Christmas show, and I'm really excited about it," Thompson said. "It looks really good. I think that was a great idea because everyone loves their Christmas movies."
On Monday, the ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas Facebook page released air dates for certain holiday movies and TV shows, including when the air date would be for Switched at Birth. It is supposed to air on Monday, December 8 at 9 pm. ET.
