"What happened was, my brother, John, shot that movie. And I think it was mis-reported that it was me. And, honestly, it was just so funny that that would happen," he said. "I've never been rumored for anything, so I started saying, 'That's fun. I can't really comment because I don't really know what you're talking about, but it's fine, we can talk about it. I just don't have any answers.'"
Funnily Schwartzman wasn't aware of the root of the muddle up at the time and was just very excited by the prospect of even being rumored as being part of mega dino franchise.
"Yeah, I was kind of confused because I didn't know about that. Then I thought, Wow, this is exciting," he added. "This is something I don't know about happening here. But, it was really just more about my brother shot it and I bet you it was just a misunderstanding."
The movie has been directed by Colin Trevorrow and stars Christ Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Johnson, Ty Simpkins and Judy Greer.
The Jurassic Park films are based on Michael Crichton's series of novels about pre-historic beasts being revived by revolutionary gene technology. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are co-producing the film alongside Steven Spielberg, who directed the first two installments in the franchise. Irrfan Khan and Ty Simpkins also star in the movie.
The film will hit theaters on June 12, 2015.
