Usher's Ex-Wife Says Singer's Sympathy for Stepson Kile Glover's Death is "Bogus"
The nasty child custody battle between Usher and his ex-wife is Tameka Foster is heating up once more. The tragic death of Usher's stepson Kile Glover who was declared brain dead after a jet ski accident last month had asked that the court hearing delayed, but now Foster has filed new documents to fuel the war.
Usher had previously asked that the hearing be delayed due to the family tragedy, saying it would cause "unnecessary stress" for the family in the wake of the tragedy. He had also claimed that Tameka would get an unfair advantage because she is still grieving the death of her son, according to TMZ.
However, in the new documents filed by Foster, she claims that Usher claiming to suffer from stress and strain in light of the tragedy are "bogus". She claims that the singer didn't care about his stepson in his finals days and that he only visited him once in the 15 days he was on life support.
TMZ also reports that Foster claims to have begged Usher to tweet a message to his fans saying "Please pray for Kile", but that he refused to do so and instead tweeted a photo of his breakfast.
Usher's request to delay the custody hearing is being called a "transparent shame", with Foster asking the judge to deny his request and appear at the hearing originally scheduled for August 13.
Kile Glover, the son Tameka Foster, was playing with a friend on an inner tube on Law Lanier in Atlanta, Ga on July 8 when a jet ski drove straight into them. Glover was hit in the head and knocked immediately unconscious. He was rescued from the river and airlifted to an Atlanta hospital.
Glover's friend was also hit and suffered a broken arm and lacerations to her head. She was also airlifted to the hospital but her condition was not thought to be as serious as Glover's.
Despite Usher's problems with Tameka Foster, Usher reportedly made sure a chartered airplane was immediately made available to her so she could fly in to be close to her son when the tragedy happened earlier this month.
