Nashville is taking on a tragic story involving Juliette and Avery's broken relationship after it was discovered that she's pregnant, and it looks like it's going to stay that way for a while.

Rayna Shares An 'Interesting Friendship' With Latest Character On 'Nashville'

On Wednesday, TV Fanatic posted an interview with Jonathan Jackson who plays Avery on the series. Apparently, his character will go through a wide range of confusion since he's not sure if he still wants Juliette or not.

"Well, I think his heart is definitely with Juliette and I think that's what makes it such a horrible, painful situation," Jackson said. "So a lot of contrasting emotions of love and hate at the same time."

Character With A 'Complicated & Dark Past' Joins 'Nashville'

Considering that Juliette had a one night stand with another guy, obviously, Avery would be upset especially since Juliette has a baby on the way. Avery will probably have a feeling that she's dealing with a lot, but it'll be hard for him to give any sympathy since he's still upset with her. But whatever drama comes along, the actor revealed that it'll be something that the fans will enjoy.

"The writers have given us a lot of great stuff to work with and the drama of the love story between Avery and Juliette has given us a lot of really good stuff to work with," Jackson said. "I hope it translates well and that everybody likes it a lot."

Nashville airs on Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
