NCIS: Los Angeles' Kensi Blye and Marty Deeks emerged from season 5 rather bruised and battered, but the partners have once again proved that they are more than capable of cleaning up each others psychological messes.

Kensi isn't one to let her emotional guard down, but viewers were treated to a rare glimpse of her inner battles during "Praesidum." The agent's momentary vulnerability provided "an opportunity to watch them attempt to put the pieces back together," according to Eric Christian Olsen.

"This is the crux of the [the] scene, the relationship, and the healing process for both of them," Olsen said of the pair's boat shed conversation, according to Mashable. "This has to be the most honest version of Deeks because it's the most vulnerable version of Kensi. These are the moments that define the relationship because the person that helps rebuild the foundation is the person that understands the blueprints."

It is unknown whether or not Densi will continue to discuss Kensi's Afghanistan torture in the future, but the duo are certainly becoming closer with every episode.
