Is This 'True Blood' Star Headed To Play A Superhero With The Rock?
Hemsworth could make up for losing Thor with this role, which could turn into the DC equivalent of the Marvel hero. Shazam is a magical, god-like being much like Thor and has lightning as a power much like the God of Thunder. Hemsworth also has the charisma and charm that would go along with the more lighthearted feel that Johnson has been teasing for the movie.
It also would give the actor a franchise within the realm of superheroes that would not require him to sacrifice as much as a random-named franchise, but would also allow him some prestige from running his own series.
If Shazam doesn't get him, someone will and one would think Liam would want to try and top his brother at the superhero game. Shazam is set to come out in 2019.
