Proposed 'Captain America 3' Title Could Signal The End Of The Avengers
It may not happen in the third Captain America movie, but the death of Steve Rogers is something that could happen soon in the Marvel universe as the Civil War is about to rage through the alliances made.
Cinema Blend speculated on Thursday that Cap's death could be a way for Marvel to usher in the new era of Marvel heroes coming to the MCU.
Is Andrew Garfield Set To Be Unmasked As Spider-Man In 'Captain America 3?'
The site said that Captain America is more than just a superhero; people in the Marvel universe look up to him. So when he dies, the grief will be felt everywhere, and no matter which enemy they face, whether it's Thanos or another villain, Earth will never be the same. His death can be used to "relaunch" the MCU.
Rogers is rumored to be leading a new team of heroes following Avengers 2, and some of these names like Captain Marvel and Falcon could be major players moving forward and after his death. With the Civil War plot, Marvel is clearly looking to make some major changes along with a strong story.
There is also the possibility that Marvel could buy Spider-Man off of Sony and he could become a hero that could fill the void if Captain America left.
Captain America 3 is set to open in theaters on May 6, 2016, with Robert Downey Jr. recently joining the cast.
