'Longmire' Season 4 News: Cancelled A&E Drama Gets New Hashtag For 'Twitter Stampede' As Cast Talks 'Missing' Each Other [VIDEO]
The "Twitter Stampede" to find Longmire a new home after the show was axed by A&E took place on Friday night, introducing a new hashtag and some thoughts from the show's cast.
'Longmire' Writer Recommends New Strategy For Cancelled Series
Actor Adam Bartley (Ferg) announced the new hashtag #Longmire4 in honor of the crime drama's potential fourth season on Friday morning.
When it came time for the stampede later that day, Bartley listed a variety of reasons for which he'd like the series to return, some of which were more serious than others.
Cassidy Freeman, who plays Walt's (Robert Taylor) daughter Cady also chimed in to voice why the series is so important in today's world of television.
The goal of the stampedes, which have continued steadily since A&E dropped Longmire following the season three finale, is to keep the spirit of the series alive and encourage other networks to take an interest in the program, which is currently being shopped around by producers.
If Longmire does find a new network, it will likely return with a fourth season sometime during the second half of 2015.
