'Teen Mom' News: Sober & Heading Back To School, Amber Portwood Seeks To Bring Her Daughter Home Following Prison Release [VIDEO]
Amber Portwood, known as one of MTV's original Teen Mom stars, is looking to obtain partial custody of her five-year-old daughter Leah after spending 13 months in prison.

"Amber is doing well and wants to file for joint custody of Leah when she's off parole next month," explained the star's brother Shawn Portwood to Radar on Friday.
The 24-year-old was released almost a year ago after being sentences after failing to comply with her drug program. Now sober, Portwood is working hard not to waste her second chance at life.

"She doesn't want to fight for full custody, because Gary is a great father," Shawn explained of his sister's ex Gary Shirley. "She is happy to share custody of Leah."
While the reality star is back on the MTV series this year, her brother insists that school is her top priority. "She wants to go back to school for psychology, sociology, or criminology," he insisted. "She wants to open her own rehab facility one day."
Amber decided to use her incarceration has a growing experience which allowed her to sober up and finally take control of her life.
"She's only doing Teen Mom again so people can relate to her and learn from her mistakes," he added. "She's not doing it for money or for fame. She wants to make a difference."
Teen Mom returns to MTV for an encore season in 2015.
