'Penny Dreadful' Season 2 News: 'Disturbing' Monsters & Extensive Stunt Work Featured In New Episodes Of Victorian Supernatural Drama [VIDEO]
It looks like production for Showtime's Penny Dreadful is right on schedule this fall, even with Season 2's broader scope and action-packed sequences.

On Saturday producer Christopher King shared a photo from the show's latest "stunt rehearsal" outside in Dublin, which included multiple stunt performers going head-to-head for what is likely to be a pretty intense spectacle. None of the show's leading stars were visible in the accompanying photo, though they are likely to be included in the final sequences.
In addition to all the action, the upcoming season of the Victorian supernatural drama intends to hold true to the show's tendency for plenty of blood, guts, and scares. Make Up Designer and Key Prosthetic Makeup Artist Sarita Allison has been doing a ton of "creature" work over the last few weeks, promising some rather unsettling monsters headed to the screen with each new episode.
The program's second season will explore a wider scope, moving a little beyond London, perhaps in pursuit of understanding the full extent of Miss Vanessa Ives' (Eva Green) dark and potentially lethal power.
Penny Dreadful returns to Showtime for a second season in 2015.
