'The Originals' Season 2 News: New Episode Will Deliver 'Family Reunion' The Series Has Been 'Promising' [VIDEO]
Recently The CW released an inside look at the latest episode of The Originals, and according to creator Julie Plec Every Mother's Son will sit the Mikaelsons down for one memorable family dinner.
Marcel & Josh Returning To The French Quarter On 'The Originals'
"We have enough enemies here and now the war for our home is to be fought against my own family," declared a distraught Klaus (Joseph Morgan) to Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) during the preview for Monday night's episode.
"This episode is really in a way the family reunion that we've been promising…" insisted an excited Plec in the network's inside look (featured below). "It's definitely a family reunion full of surprises."
No Romance For Elijah & Via On 'The Originals'
Every Mother's Son will be the third episode in The Vampire Diaries spin-off's second season. With the return of Klaus' mother, father, and two estranged brothers, he and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) have a fierce battle ahead of them. First, however, their mother has demanded they all sit down for dinner together, though the gathering will hardly be on good terms.
Executive producer Michael Narducci added that this will indeed be the "big episode" where Klaus' mother reveals all, though she won't be preaching to receptive ears.
Though their enemies are growing with each episode, Klaus and Elijah do have an ally in Hayley, the mother of Klaus' child and born-werewolf who recently became a hybrid.
"Your wretched mother and her disciples tried to put a carving knife through our baby's heart," Hayley told Klaus. "I will happily add to the body count."
In keeping with the series' initial trailer this year, which spun the season as a twisted fairy tale, the Mikaelson boy's mother will certainly be painted as a sinister foe.
"Every story needs a wicked witch," declared Hayley. "It will be all the more satisfying when we melt her."
The Originals continues on The CW with its second season Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
