Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 2's Kristen Banned From Robert Pattinson Indie Premiere, How He Is Coping
Kristen Stewart has been banned from the red carpet premiere of Robert Pattinson's independent film "Cosmopolis."
According to Radar Online the security staff has been notified to keep a watch out for the 22-year-old so she does not speak to Pattinson. The British actor will attend the screening in New York City on August 13.
"Despite the fact Robert and Kristen have been communicating by cell phone, she will not be at the 'Cosmopolis' New York premiere," a source said.
"There's also the fact that if she did attend, it would distract from the film premiere itself and the movie bosses are not interested in that sort of publicity."
The "Twilight" star's publicist told PEOPLE magazine that he will stay on schedule to promote the film.
"Cosmopolis is a film that Robert is very proud of and looks forward to supporting," said the rep. "No confirmed engagements have been canceled. Any reports to the contrary are inaccurate."
Pattinson went into seclusion after his girlfriend Kristen Stewart confessed to having an affair with married director Rupert Sanders. Fans of the British actor have expressed concern online through multiple social media sites, wanting to know how he is coping.
"[Robert is] heartbroken and angry, and sources tell the magazine that he's been drinking and relying on friends to deal with the pain," said PEOPLE reporter Carlos Greer.
"Stewart is also having a difficult time facing the repercussions of her affair," he added.
Stewart was caught with Sanders on July 17 in Los Angeles. Us Weekly published a series of photographs with the two of them kissing passionately inside a black car and several more of Stewart leaning against a guardrail as Sanders wrapped her in his arms and kissed her ear.
Radar Online reported that Stewart and her boyfriend Robert Pattinson started speaking again while he hid out at A-list actress Reese Witherspoon's vacation home in Ojai, California.
He "finally relented and has slowly started to speak to her again," according to the report.
Despite Stewart's "tearful texts" and "multiple phone calls," the source revealed it is too late to repair the relationship.
"Rob just isn't going to be able to get beyond the cheating - one time or not," a source who is familiar with the pair told People magazine.
The pair was rumored to having a custody battle over their dog Bear and moved out of their three-bedroom home in Los Angeles.
Summit Entertainment, the production company behind the "Twilight" series, have announced that promotion of "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" is moving "full steam ahead."
