'Captain America 3' News: Robert Downey Jr. Says 'It Is Gonna Be Huge,' Would 'Regret' Commenting On Rumors [VIDEO]
It has been a week of crazy news on the Marvel front and the guy leading it all has had to stay mum on what is going on behind-the-scenes. But can Iron Man himself finally say what he feels about the third Captain America news? It seems like he has a little to say.
What Other Avengers Are Joining The Jam-Packed 'Captain America 3?'
Speaking with Yahoo! on Monday to promote The Judge, Robert Downey Jr. talked about Captain America 3 and had a few things to say about the movie.
It sounds very exciting," he said, smiling. Explaining that he can't comment on it without "regret[ing] it," the actor continued, "It's gonna be huge. Whatever it is."
Captain America's Potential Death Could Usher New Wave Of Marvel Heroes
Downey Jr. has not been officially confirmed to join the third movie and Marvel has yet to confirm the whole Civil War news, but the news was broken by Variety, which has to be taken pretty seriously. Downey Jr. himself teased big Marvel plans as he fielded Iron Man 4 questions during his most recent press tour.
While rumors have swirled around saying that a host of new heroes could be joining the movie, the prospect of Iron Man and Captain America going head to head will be what sells fans to come see this movie multiple times. With the tail end of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice hitting this movie, it probably could be the biggest movie of the year.
Captain America 3 is bringing back Anthony and Joe Russo as the directors with the duo also rumored to be headed to Avengers 3 and 4 afterwards to continue the Civil War plot.
The film is expected out on May 6, 2016.
