While the recording artist Lorde was getting the soundtrack for the next Hunger Games album set up, the singer was also invited to visit the set and take in all that was happening with the movie. But what word did she use to describe the whole production?

Speaking with Billboard on Tuesday, Lorde talked about her visit and the reason she wanted to see exactly what she was picking songs for.

"In Berlin I had a show and 'The Hunger Games' was shooting just across the road. A bunch of their people came over [to my show] -- Woody [Harrelson] was at the show being dragged away, because it was time to shoot. [And] we went to the set, which was so amazing for me," she said.

"I've never been to a film set before, and just seeing, like, you know, everyone has a place, everything is so perfectly timed and...they call action and it's just all on. It's like, so magical. That was really fun."

She also talked about getting to know the characters and trying to find a soundtrack that best personified how each character felt and the actions they were dealing with.

"It was really important to me, with the soundtrack, that people knew how involved I was, and a lot of that was me reaching out to people really directly, having a conversation on the phone, sending an email, sending a text," Lorde said.

"I wanted people to know that, 'Your song isn't just going to be flung into some pot and, you know, chosen later,'" she explained. "I really cared about what was happening."

The track list for the film includes songs from Kanye West and The Chemical Brothers and is set to be released on Nov. 18 ahead of the film premiere on Nov. 21.
