A new teaser for the second season of Helix has been released that shows extra intensity and creepiness that will likely make a memorable season.
The promo was released on TV Line on Friday where it starts off with a group of dead passengers on board a ship with people researching what just happened. Someone asks when the passengers started getting sick where it's revealed that it happened right after they got back from the island. This leaves some speculation on what's happening with this island and if an answer will come along for everyone.
The clip moves into random clips of walking groups of people and scary faces when one of the members says that the victims ingested something from this island. The scientists start to make random discoveries that might involve some contaminated chemicals as well as finding out who others are. More scary faces are seen that look like monsters as people scream and run.
When the scientists head over to this island, they're probably going to wind up in some serious danger that could lead to attacks as well as finding out things about this place that are worse than what they expected. The site mentioned that a cult inhabits this place that will apparently stop at nothing to create a utopian society.
If the team members get in the way of this, then they could be facing one of the biggest mysteries of all- how to escape from this horrific nightmare.
Helix Season 2 is set to air on Friday, January 16 at 10 p.m. ET on Syfy.
