'X-Men: Apocalypse' Movie Rumors: Anna Kendrick For Jean Grey? Actress Could Take Over Mantle From Jennifer Lawrence [VIDEO]
The next X-Men movie is going to be in the business of bringing in some new faces to not only create a universe within the franchise, but also take on younger versions of characters many fans have seen and loved. But could this hot star be the next actress to join X-Men?
Is Evan Peters Getting His Own X-Men Movie?
With Jennifer Lawrence most likely taking a break from franchise for awhile after the next movie, the X-Men series is going to need to find their new go-to actress and could find her in Anna Kendrick.
Kendrick is a rising star who has established a franchise of her own in Pitch Perfect and has shown that she can put on award-winning work in other films such as Up in the Air and 50/50. She also has the charisma that made Lawrence a star and could look at X-Men as joining an established franchise that she can excel within.
The actress would make sense in the role of Jean Grey, with the film's producers looking for a younger actress to take on the role. While Lawrence, who is known for her humor and antics, is a lot more reserved in the role of Mystique than some of her other roles, this could also be a change of pace for Kendrick, who could do a more somber role than her more chipper characters she has played.
She would be able to give the role some life because of her natural charisma, but overall, the role would be something different for the actress and could be a nice step in a new direction as she could be one of the faces that takes the franchise in a new direction.
X-Men: Apocalypse is set to open in theaters on May 27, 2016.
