With Halloween approaching, Netflix users can get into the spooky spirit with horror offerings both old and new.

While Netflix offers many horror-themed TV shows like American Horror Story, The Walking Dead and Supernatural, the streaming service actually has some of the most classic horror movies of all time.

One classic worth watching is Rosemary's Baby. The 1968 classic centers on a young woman (Mia Farrow) who becomes pregnant with a child of special interest to one group of people. While the film does not provide many jump scares, the psychological horror is enough to leave viewers haunted long after watching.

Other classic horror movies Netflix is offering this Halloween are Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Night of the Living Dead, Evil Dead 2, Children of the Corn, and even Nosferatu from 1929.

For horror comedy fans, Netflix is offering the 1995 horror satire Scream in addition to its first two sequels. The films gave birth to the often seen Scream mask that many sport on Halloween.

Other horror movies with a comedic edge are The Nightmare Before Christmas, Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, John Dies at the End and Scary Movie 2 and 3.

Horror fans who love Hannibal Lecter can marathon The Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal, both of which are available on Netflix currently.

Newer classics worth watching on Netflix include The Cabin in the Woods, The Blair Witch Project, Let the Right One In, and Paranormal Activity 4 and You're Next.
