'The Flash' Spoilers: New Series Breaks CW Record As Most-Watched Drama, Adds 'Vampire Diaries' Star To Cast [VIDEO]
The Flash's debut on The CW this month was the network's highest-rated premiere since The Vampire Diaries in 2009, but now it has been revealed that the new superhero drama is the channel's most-watched series ever.
'Arrow' Crossovers To Continue On 'The Flash' Later This Season
On Monday Entertainment Weekly reported that viewership of the show's premiere continued to rise over the last few weeks, reaching 6.8 million viewers and making it the network's most popular drama.
Numbers aren't the only thing The Flash is stealing from The Vampire Diaries. It turns out Malese Jow, who played Anna on the vampire-centered series, has joined the cast of The Flash as DC's Linda Park.

According to The Hollywood Reporter on Monday, Jow won't appear on the program until Episode 12, but will make quite an impression when she does come into Central City. Linda will quickly become friends with Iris (Candice) and the young journalist will even develop a rapport with Barry (Grant Gustin) after the two meet at a bar.
Based on the DC comic, The Flash will introduce a number of familiar characters this season in addition to Linda, including Robbie Amell as Firestorm and Clancy Brown as The General. The series will also be getting stars from Fox's Prison Break, including characters portrayed by Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, and Robert Knepper.
The Flash continues on The CW with its first season Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
