FX's Sons of Anarchy is about to feature another cover of a classic rock song for Tuesday's episode, The Separation of Crows.

Episode 8, which airs Tuesday night, will feature a cover of All Along the Watchtower, originally sung by Bob Dylan and popularized by Jimi Hendrix. Billy Valentine and the Forest Rangers provide a psychedelic cover of the song, which can be heard in full before the episode in a new Rolling Stone report here.
"Unfortunately, SAMCRO has yet again hit a major roadblock," Sons of Anarchy music supervisor Bob Thiele says in the Rolling Stone article. "This iconic Bob Dylan song pretty much sums up where things stand in episode 708."
Sons of Anarchy Final Confrontation With Jax & Gemma "Will Not Disappoint"
"We've slowed it down considerably, making a dramatic shift in the tempo and feel," Thiele adds. "The great Bobby Womack deserves credit where credit is due. Forest Rangers Matt Chamberlain (drums), Davey Faragher (bass), Phil Shenale (keys) and Greg Leisz (lap steel guitar) are present as usual. Also, Gia Ciambotti sings some high s- the way only she can do."
Thiele gives most of the credit to Valentine, who he claims is a real "singer's singer."
All Along the Watchtower's lyrics are certainly full of epic, biblical imagery, which will likely work well against the backdrop of this episode. The final lyrics of the song, "Two riders were approaching / the wind began to howl" certainly lend themselves well to the motorcycle drama.
Sons of Anarchy airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
