'The Originals' Season 2 Spoilers: Joseph Morgan Says Tatia Tale From 'The Vampire Diaries' Wasn't True, 'Real' Story To Be Revealed [VIDEO]
Nina Dobrev is about to make her debut on The CW's The Originals and it looks like the cast of The Vampire Diaries spin-off is just as happy as fans are to have her on board.
Producer Warns 'The Originals' Is 'About To Get Insane'
"Were really grateful to Nina for coming over to The Originals and for allowing us to finally tell that story," Joseph Morgan told E! on Tuesday.
Morgan, of course, plays the infamous Klaus Mikaelson, who has some deeply rooted ties to Tatia, who will be played in flashbacks by Dobrev throughout Episode 5. As the woman Klaus and his brother Elijah (Daniel Gillies) loved and lost before they became vampires, Tatia certainly impacted their relationship within the Mikaelson family.
'The Originals' Is In For Some 'Bloody Chaos'
"I think it need to be told," explained Klaus in discussing the tale of Tatia. "It definitely had a huge impact on who the brothers are today and their family in general. Klaus and Elijah both were certainly interested and invested in Tatia because they both loved her. It's absolutely going to give us more insight into their relationship because we're going to see how that loved changed their family and how it all played out."
Fans may think they know the story of Tatia from Season 3 of The Vampire Diaries. The character was first introduced when Klaus and Elijah had dinner with brothers Stefan and Damon, who had a similar relationship with two of Tatia's doppelgangers. While Klaus and Elijah briefly discussed the woman they both lost, Morgan assures audiences that not everything about that scene was true.
"They story that they told back in The Vampire Dairies is not exactly what went down," said Morgan. "And now we're going to find out what really happened."
The Originals continues on The CW with its second season Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
