Caroline's (Linsey Godfrey) relationship won't be the only one affected by her brief affair with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Caroline Realizes Ridge Used Her

The secret that the two designers had shared a few kisses together came out after Eric (John McCook) announced that he wanted Ridge to take over as CEO of Forrester Creations in his absence, and Caroline watched as her marriage to Rick (Jacob Young) crumbled in front of her as a result-but Ridge could also suffer the consequences of their actions after he finally confesses the whole truth to his fiancée, Katie (Heather Tom).

"All I can do is promise that it will never happen again," he says to her in a preview clip for the Wednesday, Oct. 29 episode.

Caroline Begs Rick For Forgiveness

However, Katie, who previously dealt with her former husband Bill (Don Diamont) cheating on her with her own sister, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), won't likely take the news well-and could end things with Ridge after revealing just how hurt she is by his betrayal.

"Maybe I should have tied a string around your...finger," she says in the clip, referring to the string Ridge tied on her left hand in lieu of an engagement ring. "To remind you not to make out with your muse."

And while Katie potentially ends things with Ridge for good, Caroline will continue on her desperate search to find her husband after he stormed out of the office.

"I have to do something, I can't just sit around and wait for Rick to show up or for him to just call me back," she says to Eric in the clip. "I have to find him."

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
