"All I did was stick up and protect the woman I fell in love with...If you take me and tho and mimi out of the show last season, WHAT WOULD BE THEIR STORYLINE???? EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM WAS FAKE AS F---!"
He later added that he and Heart would not be doing interviews until the situation "unfolds".
In the meantime, he retweeted dozens of fans who were furious about him and Heart getting the boot. Many of them called out the show creator, Mona Scott Young.
One wrote, "See the thing is money talks...Mona is heartless and only cares about checks and ratings".
Some suggested that firing the couple could even mark the end of Young's success.
One tweeted, "This career suicide no one is going to cosign with this decision unless they are crazy" while another added, "Amen because the sleazes are going to cost her the show".
Word of Benzino and Heart's firing came Wednesday afternoon. According to TMZ, the couple was told the news early that morning without reason.
Still, word is that producers have pointed the blame at Benzino and Heart for the epic fight that went down between the couple and Stevie J and Joseline Hernandez during the season three reunion taping.
VH1 has yet to make a statement on the news.
