Fans have been torn about whether or not they want to give CMT's Party Down South 2 a chance, but one of the stars of the original show is sticking up for the new cast and encouraging fans to give them a shot.

Josh Murray, one of the stars of the original Party Down South took to his Facebook page October 28 to apologize to fans for being less active on his social media account, but also gave them major updates on the two shows.

"Hope everyone has been doing well guys! I have filmed things but the new season is coming out February 19th. We got pushed back some by CMT We do got the Drunksgiving episode coming November 20th and Christmas episode December 19th!" he commented on his post after fans asked when the show would be back.

He later added that the show was pushed back because CMT was premiering Party Down South 2, but encouraged fans to give the show and new cast a fair shot.

"There is a new cast called Party Down South 2. I don't personally know them but it's just a way to keep the party going longer man. I'm going to give them a chance and I hope y'all will too like you did us," he said.

CMT announced last week that the new cast would premiere their first season on Nov. 20, directly after the original cast's-Murray, Lyle, Daddy, Walt, Lauren, Mattie and Tiffany-Thanksgiving special episode. Their season is expected to air for 12 weeks, and should lead in to the original cast's return in February 19.

The new cast consists of:

1. Bradley Mitchell: 26, from Brandon, Mississippi

2. Hunter Robinson: 23, from Lexington, Kentucky

3. Michael Duke:, 22, from Statesboro, Georgia

4. Tommy Theis: 22, from Blytheville, Arkansas

5. Ashton Mosley:23, from Pensacola, Florida

6. Karynda Worcester:26, from Jacksonville, North Carolina

7. Magan Ladner: 25, from Wiggins, Mississippi

8.Raven Stein: 23, from Folsom, Louisiana

Party Down South: Drunksgiving airs Thursday, Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. on CMT, followed directly by the premiere of Party Down South 2 at 9 p.m. Party Down South: Christmas Hangover airs Thursday, Dec. 18 at 8 p.m., and the original cast returns for season 3 on Thursday, Feb. 19.
