For those looking to get in some quick Halloween entertainment before going out Friday night, Netflix has plenty of TV options for getting in the spirit.

The Best Halloween Movies On Netflix

Some of the more popular TV series on Netflix as a whole are also some of the scariest.

American Horror Story is a good choice for Halloween given its consistent horror themes. Watching the first season, Murder House, can provide the viewers with a haunted house full of ghosts, a terrifying "Rubber Man" and a nosy neighbor played by Jessica Lange who introduced herself to a whole new generation of fans. The second season, Asylum, is also on Netflix, set in a mental institution full of strict nuns, ex-Nazis and a serial killer named Bloody Face.

Supernatural works to fulfill pretty much every horror element out there. The series has featured ghosts, demons and monsters of all kind and there are nine full seasons available for streaming. Put on any episode and you'll be guaranteed a scare or two.

Similar horror series (of the teen variety) that are currently available are The Originals (one full season), Angel (all five seasons), Buffy the Vampire Slayer (all seven seasons), Being Human (three full seasons) and Hemlock Grove (two full seasons).

If you want to go full classic, The Twilight Zone has the first, second, third and fifth seasons available for streaming.
