'James Bond 24' Movie News: Kate Upton Still In Contention For 'Bond Girl' Role, Could Make Big Push Soon [VIDEO]
One rumor that circulated early for the next James Bond was supermodel Kate Upton, who was being considered for a Bond girl role. But could the model-turned-actress still have a shot with casting coming soon?
Casting Choices For 'Bond 24' Could Be Released Soon With Production Set To Start
Upton is most likely still involved in the discussions for Bond 24 as they have yet to announce casting of the other Bond girl. Lea Seydoux was selected to play one role, but she was described more as a femme fatale.
Upton may be up against another supermodel in Cara Delevingne, who has picked up steam as of late with a possible role in Warner Bros' Suicide Squad as Harley Quinn. The actress is also starring in Pan with Hugh Jackman, which could gain her some traction soon.
Could Harry Potter Play James Bond Next?
Upton, on the other hand, is still looking for that big movie role after underperforming in modest hits like The Other Woman. The actress could score big with even a small role in the James Bond movie.
Other names that have swirled around this role are Rihanna and a number of Scandinavian actresses, but it seems like the producers may want to bring in a big name to try and drive some newer, younger fans to to franchise with pop culture icons like Rihanna, Delevingne and Upton.
Bond 24 is directed by Sam Mendes and brings back Daniel Craig, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, and Ralph Fiennes to their roles from Skyfall.
The film is expected to hit theaters on Nov. 6, 2015 with production starting soon on it.
