Lou Diamond Phillips Breaks From 'Longmire' Campaign

On Nov. 1 Wait For Signs, the latest book of stories by Longmire author Craig Johnson, hit no. 14 on The New York Times Bestseller list for hardcover fiction. A week later and the book is still holding strong between Elin Hilderbrand's Winter Street and Jane Smiley's Some Luck.

While Johnson has remained loyal to the "Twitter Stampedes" designed to promote the television series with the hope of a fourth season, the author has continued his book tour this month as planned, speaking to packed libraries filled with devoted fans.

'Longmire' Could Win Big At People's Choice Awards

Johnson also took some time to meet with fans, many of whom are also fans of the former A&E crime drama.

Wait for Signs is a special blend of literature and television for Longmire fans. Lou Diamond Phillips, known for playing Henry on the A&E program, wrote the forward to the book and since the show's cancellation fans looking to get their latest Walt fix will have to turn to Johnson.

If Longmire does return for a fourth season, it will likely do so during the second half of 2015.
