'Gotham' TV Show: New Details On How The Scarecrow Will Be Introduced; A Father-Son Moniker? [VIDEO]
While Fox's Gotham has already included several classic villains thus far, it is about to introduce another one, according to one of the executive producers.
'Homeland' Star Set To Play Dr. Leslie Thompkins in 'Gotham'
He was seen in the first Dark Knight film Batman Begins and he's about to show up on Gotham. Scarecrow will be introduced on an upcoming episode of the series, according to exec producer Danny Cannon.
"We're breaking the story now," Cannon reportedly said at Stan Lee's Comikaze, according to Zap2It. Apparently, the Scarecrow character will be seen when he is a child sometime before he becomes the villain.
Is 'Gotham' Set In The Past, The Present, The Future Or All Three?
The Zap2It report elaborates that this Scarecrow identity will actually be passed on from the boy's father.
Thus far, the series has introduced the Penguin/Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor), the Riddler/Edward Nygma (Cory Michael Smith), Catwoman/Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) and more.
The Fox series is also introducing Two-Face/Harvey Dent (gues star Nicholas D'Agosto) in an upcoming episode.
"Trying to close the Wayne murder case, a young Harvey Dent and Gordon [Ben McKenzie] team up, much to Mayor James' (guest star Richard Kind) chagrin," the Fox plot synopsis reads for the episode, appropriately titled Harvey Dent. "Meanwhile, Penguin makes contact with Mooney's (Jada Pinkett Smith) secret weapon, Liza (guest star Mackenzie Leigh)."
It remains to be seen when the Joker will inevitably show up. Perhaps a tease in the Season 1 finale could create some more buzz for the series.
Gotham airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
