Cyber Monday 2014 Deals: Walmart Getting A Head-Start With One Day Sale On HDTVs, Previews Their Possible Prices [VIDEO]
With Black Friday and Cyber Monday prices being determined, it seems like Walmart is looking to see what buyers are interested in with a recent one-day sale that featured prices that could re-appear after Thanksgiving.
Walmart's one-day sale, which took place on Monday, featured some price slashes on electronics with a focus on HDTVs and video game systems. The big attraction was a massive price drop on the Sony 48" LED HDTV and Element 40" LED HDTV.
Both televisions saw a drop of about $100, which could be indicative of Cyber Monday, but could also just be the company testing the waters with an even bigger drop happening after Thanksgiving.
The Nintendo 2DS also saw a drop from $129 to $79, which could signal a sale on gaming consoles when Cyber Monday rolls around. It has been a year since the release of the Playstation 4 and Xbox One so both consoles could be price dropped or bundled up during the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales.
The items that were on sale also included same-day pick-up, which made the sale even more of a steal prior to the Thanksgiving holiday.
While there is still some time before Cyber Monday, it seems like Walmart is getting feelers out on what buyers are looking at and with a big emphasis on Black Friday about HDTVs, it could mean even lower prices are on the way for the televisions mentioned and other models that could be seeing slashes.
