The merge episode is coming up on Survivor: San Juan del Sur which means that it is becoming clearer who might be winning the title of Sole Survivor and the $1 million prize.

Natalie Anderson Starting To "Make A Case" To Possibly Win

The Coyopa and Hunahpu tribes are officially merged and the Final 12 are Alec Christy, Baylor Wilson, Jaclyn Schultz, Jeremy Collins, Jon Misch, Josh Canfield, Julie McGee, Keith Nale, Missy Payne, Natalie Anderson, Reed Kelly and Wes Nale.

Going into this merge, Coyopa is down in the numbers with only Baylor, Jaclyn, Jon, Keith and Missy going up against Hunahpu's Alec, Jeremy, Josh, Julie, Natalie, Reed and Wes. However, some castaways deciding to flip are always possible.

Julie Steals Valuable Item From Tribe In Episode 7, Is It Extra Food Or An Idol?

After six episodes, a few castaways have distinguished themselves as possible winners of Season 29. Two have been the unofficial narrators of the season: Jeremy and Josh. Josh received ample screen time during the first three episodes of the season as Coyopa kept losing. He has proven to have a sound strategy and is now working with his boyfriend Reed over on Hunahpu.

Jeremy has been a leader to his tribe and his alliance on Hunahpu. He led his girls alliance to voting out Drew Christy and is constantly commenting on how he feels about his fellow tribe mates.

One dark horse candidate who may surprise with a win is Natalie. She has been shown very frequently and in a positive light, volunteering to go to Exile Island, being a good social player and calling out John Rocker.

Baylor has also been focused on quite frequently through the pre-merge though she has been shown in a somewhat negative light, as has her mother Missy. Both will likely go far but it may be an uphill battle for them to win.

Keith and Wes have been separated since starting the game though they have remained under-the-radar, not causing any waves in either of their tribes. Though neither appears to be a leader, they could get to the end and win on likability alone.

Jon and Jaclyn appear to still be the power couple going into the merge. It remains to be seen if they will switch back to Jon's old Hunahpu tribe or stick with Missy and Baylor.

Julie admitted to wanting to quit the game during the last episode which may not bode well for her future. However, she could receive a redemptive arc and get to the end on her own.

This merge episode will likely set the tone for the rest of the game, as it has so often in past merge episodes, such as Cagayan in the spring, which featured the infamous "Chaos Kass" flip.
