Despite some big plot-heavy episodes ahead, ABC's Castle will also find time for some more light-hearted, themed episodes.

Castle showrunner David Amann spoke with Entertainment Weekly recently about the next five episodes of Season 7, revealing that there are some fun ones to come.
Episode 7, titled Once Upon a Time in the West, features Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) going undercover at an resort catering to the Old West. They are going to be posing as newlyweds (appropriate, considering they got married in the previous episode). Amann said that this episode will be "a lot of Western fun," adding, "It's an incredibly fun and charming episode and I think a good follow-up to episode six in that regard."

Episode 9, titled Last Action Hero, is centered on the murder of a older action movie star, with Amann saying that the episode is essentially about "the death of an Expendable. It's the death of an aging action star."
Naturally the actor, "happens to also be a guy who's a childhood hero of Castle's, so he's very invested in the case," Amann said. "He was part of a movie that was being made that's sort of an Expendables-type movie so we go to the set and we meet all these other guys who are these broken down old action heroes. So there's a lot of fun to be had in the episode. We think that's also going to be really delightful."
Castle does fun episodes well and it will be a nice change of pace compared to the more serious plot line involving Castle's car wreck in addition to another upcoming episode, which features a hostage situation.
Castle airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
