‘Amish Mafia’ Season 4 Spoilers: Lebanon Levi Taking On Pennsylvania Governor In New Episodes? [VIDEO]
The cast of Amish Mafia may be tackling some big-named opponents on the new season of the show.
Five Reasons 'Amish Mafia' Is Fake
After several big names joined the Respect Amish movement over the summer and called for an end to the Discovery channel reality series, the cast could be trying to now take on these new opponents on the new season-including the current Governor of the state, Tom Corbett.
Corbett, who is on the campaign trail trying to keep his job against Democratic opponent Tom Wolf, which will be decided by Pennsylvania's voters by the end of the day, was at the Lancaster Airport on Nov. 3, Lancaster Online reports, and he was met there by none other than Lebanon Levi from the popular show.
Esther Schmucker Breaks Up With Imir Williams?
"One person there, however, was not a supporter: 'Lebanon' Levi Stoltzfus, star of the Amish Mafia TV show on the Discovery Channel, had come to ask Corbett why he signed a statement in August criticizing the show as 'bigoted' and calling for it to be shut down," the website reports. "Security officers discouraged Stoltzfus from approaching Corbett. Stoltzfus is not registered to vote, he said, otherwise he would support Wolf."
And though the show previously showed Levi dealing with his fellow "Mafia" enemies-including on/off fiancée Esther Schmucker (who is not returning for the show's fourth season), and the former head of the Ohio Mafia, Merlin Miller. However, the former enemies may now be teaming up together in an effort to combat their critics-as Miller has also previously tried to confront Corbett over his decision to throw support behind the Respect Amish movement.
Miller appeared outside the Lancaster Newspaper offices earlier in October to talk to Corbett, but was also rebuffed by security.
"He's just jumping on the bandwagon against our show," Miller said at the time. "He came out against our show. I wanted one minute with him, just to talk to him."
Amish Mafia season 4 is slated for a January 2015 premiere, though Discovery channel has not released an official air date.
