'Terminator 5' Spoilers: 'Genisys' Storyboard Reveals Human Prisoners Working In Camps Governed By Endoskeletons [VIDEO]
Select bits from the Terminator: Genisys storyboard were revealed in the recent Entertainment Weekly cover story about the movie and they give away some information about the movie.
In the revealed sketches, endoskeletons are seen manning a truck carrying human prisoners, and in another still, John Connor and Kyle Reese are seen fighting them off together.
The magazine's cover features Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) and Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) raging on a bike, as Sarah handles steers the ride, with Reese behind her holding out his heavy-weight gun. The alternate cover features John Connor (Jason Clarke) and actor Matt Smith, whose character has not been revealed yet.
Here's an excerpt from the cover story by Nicole Spring giving away a bit about the plot of the fifth in the series:
Terminator: Genisys Is A "Reset" That "Shifts The Course Of Everything"
"The beginning of Terminator: Genisys, the first of three planned films that Paramount hopes will relaunch the beloved sci-fi franchise, is set in 2029, when the Future War is raging and a group of human rebels has the evil artificial-intelligence system Skynet on the ropes. John Connor (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' Jason Clarke) is the leader of the resistance, and Kyle Reese (Divergent's Jai Courtney) is his loyal soldier, raised in the ruins of post apocalyptic California. As in the original film, Connor sends Reese back to 1984 to save Connor's mother, Sarah (Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke), from a Terminator programmed to kill her so that she won't ever give birth to John. But what Reese finds on the other side is nothing like he expected."
Although Arnold Schwarzenegger doesn't feature on the cover, the actor is reprising his role as the iconic cyborg in this movie.
Terminator 5: Genisys has been directed by Alan Taylor, and also stars Sandrine Holt (House of Cards) will be playing Detective Cheung, who will "arrest Kyle and Sarah when they arrive in 2017."
Terminator 5 is scheduled to release in July 2015.
