Tommy Chong is the latest Dancing With the Stars contestant to sustain an injury.

Janel Parrish & Val Chmerkovskiy May Be 'Casually Hooking Up' Off Screen

Chong explained to E! News after the show on Monday that he had sustained a calf injury during rehearsals. Regardless, he soldiered onward and managed to even beat Michael Waltrip in the Dance Off.

"It was me. I was dumb," Chong told E! News about the injury. "I didn't drink enough water, so I got cramps." Discussing dancing twice on the show Monday he said, "I had to do it. I'm a dancer and being around all the dancers, they've got more injuries than you can count. They just wrap on tape, get out there and do it, and I had to do it."

Sadie Robertson & Lea Thompson Could Be In Trouble For Next Week

Chong admitted that with his injury, now he feels like he's even more a part of the troupe.

"I kind of felt like part of the gang, you know, now that I had an injury and did it," he quipped. "I feel good!"

The 76-year-old dancer certainly stands out among the celebrities still remaining but he appears to be a big hit with America. Chong has made it to the Final 6 along with actor Alfonso Ribeiro, actress Janel Parrish, YouTube star Bethany Mota, Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson and actress Lea Thompson.

Chong said that his injury will heal by the next episode of the dance competition.

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
