'Reign' Season 2 Spoilers: Mary & Catherine Take On Different Identities, It's 'Time For Them To Have Some Fun' [VIDEO]
Mary and Catherine are about to experience what it's like to be someone else on the next episode of Reign, which will likely come with some outrageous results.
Lord Castleroy & Greer Wedding Chatter On 'Reign'
On Wednesday, the series' Twitter page posted a little sneak peek on what's about to happen when the queens get out of their carriage and pretend to be regular people so they won't be found. According to executive producers Laurie McCarthy and Doris Egan, this is so the show can take a break from the dark intensity.
"Doris came to my office and said, 'It's just been so dark and tense, and it's so hard to be Mary, and it's time for them to have some fun," McCarthy said in the video.
Is 'Reign' Being Predicted For Cancellation?
Mary and Catherine will take off their jewelry so they'll look less royal.
"It's really not safe for them to be walking around declaring who they are," Egan shared. "So they have to be pretend to be ordinary people."
It looks like the episode will really take a break from the black energy and add some light humor when Mary pretends to be Catherine's daughter. She even plans to work for a meal and for a bed to sleep in that probably won't be castle material, leaving Catherine unimpressed.
"If you know and love Catherine as I do, just the image of her trying to be an ordinary person was enough to get me into it," Egan said.
Reign airs on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
