With many Instagram followers calling the photo "awkward," Duggar can be seen passionately kissing her new husband while Seewald barely has his mouth open. The reality star captioned the photo with, "It's great living life with your best friend! @ben_seewald."

Many fans don't seem very impressed with the photo, commenting with, "This is not something I'd expect from a Duggar daughter! So much for being modest!" to "Shouldn't you be doing this in private? I think you two should hold off on having babies for 6 months to a year, and enjoy getting to know each other."

The newly married couple, who have had very limited physical contact during their courtship for the past year, also opted to have a very private first kiss rather than share it with everyone in attendance on their wedding day.

According to Radar Online on Sunday, their Pastor made the announcement that Duggar and Seewald would be having their first kiss in private while her parents Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar gave the audience what they wanted to see. The couple "locked lips" so the crowd could see at least one Duggar couple kiss that day.

The couple has been courting for one year and only announced their engagement back in September.
