'Longmire' Season 4 News: Writer Reveals 'Shifting Winds' & How Cancelled Crime Drama Is Changing Hollywood [VIDEO]
Producers are still looking for a new network to keep Longmire going after A&E elected to drop the popular crime drama, and if there's one person who has faith in the series it's writer Tony Tost.

On Monday night the writer insisted on Twitter that fan support is indeed "shifting the winds" for Longmire and that viewers should "keep vocal and stay positive" as the fight to keep the program alive.

Why 'Longmire' Is Good For Native American Community
Tost continued by saying that the entertainment industry is impressed with the show's following and that these loyal fans could change the way networks look at demographics.

Apparently the writer wanted to emphasize that there are a lot of intelligent people in Hollywood and that Longmire won't remain network-less for long. Even though the series hasn't been picked up yet, there is still time and plenty of reason to keep on hoping.

If Longmire does manage to find a new network, it will likely return for a fourth season during the second half of 2015.
