While a sequel to Mean Girls was made, it didn't include the original cast. Now with everyone getting back together for the Entertainment Weekly reunion, it seems like some of the big stars would welcome a return to the Mean Girls universe.

More Action Could Be In 'Ted 2' After Mark Wahlberg Shows Off Ripped Body

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly posted on Thursday, Lindsay Lohan, Tina Fey, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert talked about the possibilites of doing a sequel to the famous film after 10 years and most of them seemed ready for a return.

"At the time, we did wanna start the conversation about the sequel and for whatever reason I was like, 'No! We shouldn't do that!' Now I look back and I'm like 'Why?' But now, no - it's too late now," Fey said.

"Why can't we do a sequel? Of us all grown up," Lohan added. "To work with everyone involved in Mean Girls again would be an honor. It was such a good experience. I think it would be really cool."

Even though she has gone on to be in other big hits like The Notebook and Midnight in Paris, McAdams was ready to go back to the role that put her on the map even if Seyfried felt like it should stay a solo movie.

"Oh God, I hadn't thought about that! Yeah, I'd totally be up for that. Anything that Tina is at the helm of, I'd be into," McAdams said.

"No. No, because you can't f--- with that. You wouldn't do a sequel to Rosemary's Baby or any Woody Allen movie. You wouldn't do a sequel to The Shining," Seyfried retorted. "I can't believe I actually did compare Mean Girls to that - but, in its genre, it really is special."

As for Chabert, she would be happy to return to a movie with Mark Waters directing and Fey writing even if it wasn't Mean Girls 2.

"I think it would have to be everyone involved again. I think Mark [Waters] would have to direct; Tina would certainly have to write it," she said.

"If everyone would join again, I think they could make a movie. I think it's just hard when you make something that's very special and beloved-you don't want the follow up to be a letdown."

The whole cast can be seen in the Entertainment Weekly reunion issue in stores Friday.
