Interestingly enough, he spoke with the magazine Hip Hop Weekly, which he owns, about the matter.
He started off by pointing out that the show saw higher ratings than ever on the most recent season, which for the first time did not include K. Michelle in the cast.

"The thing with K. Michelle is that you don't want to to get into a negative debate with a former cast member especially when the show did record numbers this past season after she left. We broke ratings without K. Michelle!"
He went on to challenge the Can't Raise A Man singer's claims that his storyline was not interesting enough for the drama packed series.
"From having 'Hip Hop Weekly' on the show, to opening Sleazy & Zino's, to my mom passing away and me getting shot, all of these were major parts of this past season. Also, I brought my fiancée Althea on the show, and she became a very important factor in the show's storyline as well."
Benzino also called out the creator of the Love & Hip Hop franchise, Mona Scott Young. He said that K. Michelle's comments do not come as a surprise considering Young manages her.
"In my opinion it's unprofessional to be the leader of a company and take sides and show favoritism, when it clearly was the whole cast, not just one person, that has made 'Love & Hip Hop Atlanta' so successful."
Benzino's comments come just after K. Michelle dissed Benzino, saying he deserved to be fired and that the only people on the show who are irreplaceable are herself and Benzino's arch nemesis Stevie J and Joseline Hernandez.
