The next episode of ABC's Once Upon a Time features psychological warfare between Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and the Snow Queen (Elizabeth Mitchell), which may result in the former injuring her son.

Regina Still 'Really Hopeful' That Robin Hood Will Choose Her Over Marian

Emma has the Snow Queen in custody in the next episode of Once Upon a Time, and Morrison previewed the battle of the two women in a new report with Entertainment Weekly.

"[The Snow Queen] knows how to push Emma's buttons in a way that most people wouldn't know. She knows those trigger points," Morrison said. "She very carefully and craftily moves the conversation where she wants to move it and gets under Emma's skin, which is what pushes her powers out of control the more that she's stirred up internally. That's exactly what the Snow Queen wants: She wants to stir up her powers, but we don't know why initially."

Origins Of Snow Queen's Icy Powers Revealed As Emma Interrogates Her

As Emma loses some control of her magical powers, she may wind up being a danger to her son, Henry (Jared Gilmore). Henry tries to help his mother, but it may end up backfiring.

"The more he pushes, the more he puts himself in danger," Morrison said. "It's a terrible feeling to know that the person you truly love the most in your life in that moment is in the most danger around you. It makes her just want to get rid of her powers entirely. She'd rather not have any powers than have the possibility of hurting Henry or anyone else she cares about."

It remains to be seen if Emma will be unleashing her powers, though based on Morrison's comments, it seems likely at this point.

Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
