The cast and crew behind the former A&E drama Longmire agree that the program's fanbase is a unique thing in this day and age.

When series writer Tony Tost commented on the crime drama's "devoted" fans on Tuesday, the show's composer David Shephard jumped in to adamantly agree.

'Full Speed Ahead' For 'Longmire'

Shephard even took this sentiment a step further, suggesting that when the program finds a new network for Season 4, the quality will remain just as high if not improve.

The composer's continued praise for the series shifted into familiar territory. The cast and crew of Longmire have remained close over the last three years and are eager to compliment one another whenever possible.

Following A&E's cancellation of the series, producers continue to work hard in search of a new network to bring the show back to life.

If Longmire does manage to find a new network, it will likely return for a fourth season during the second half of 2015.
