'Castle' Season 7 Spoilers: Showrunner Hoping To 'Earn Back' Trust From Fans With Rick & Kate Wedding [VIDEO]
The moment fans of ABC's Castle have been waiting for has finally arrived: Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) are officially getting married!
'Castle' Boss Talks Avoiding 'The Other Version Of The Big Wedding' With Rick & Kate
Castle and Beckett will be married in Monday night's episode of Castle, titled Time of Our Lives. With many fans still feeling burned by the Season 6 finale, in which the pair was about to get married before Castle got into a fiery car wreck, showrunner David Amann assures that Monday night's episode will be for real this time.
"[Fans] will certainly be vocal, but we feel it delivers the best version of what we wanted that moment to be," Amann tells TVGuide.com in a new report, discussing the impending wedding. "There are obviously people who felt a little thwarted, and I think now that the wedding will become a reality, I think the people who felt forsaken or betrayed by the end of last season, my hope is that that earns back whatever good will we might have lost with them."
After Castle and Beckett's big wedding they won't have the ability to go on a honeymoon due to the latter using so many of her vacation days. Therefore, the next episode sees the now married pair posing as newlyweds at an Old West resort.
"In the course of Castle's disappearance, Beckett burned off all her vacation days," Amann says. "There isn't a possibility of taking a honeymoon, at least right away. So Castle sees this as a golden opportunity to kill two birds with one stone by solving a case and taking a honeymoon."
Castle airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
